The Beginners Course is designed for New or Existing Member’s Beginner Dogs of any age and/or Puppies of up to 1 yrs old.
It comprises following concurrently both the Prodigious Chalfield Certificate for dogs of all ages and the national Kennel Club approved PUPPY FOUNDATION Award Scheme for dogs under 1 years of age. So you may come away achieving 2 certificates by the end of the course.
The Advantages of having all new members attend the Beginners Course is that everybody starts together at the same standard before progressing on to the main class. The lessons teach the basics in a thorough and progressively structured way.
The Classes are small so that everyone gets plenty of time to have a go at the all the exercises. You get a superb folder of NOTES filled with reminders of the exercises used during the course.
You also get a very simple REMINDER sheet each week for you to record you and your dog’s progress and struggles at home and present to the trainer the following week.
Email and Whatsapp will be used to maintain 2-way communication and to show off and discuss problems during the week. You will be required to provide Mobile and Email address if available.
The Courses runs for six weeks after which, on successful achievement of our Chalfield Certificate and/or the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Award you can join the main class held later on. If on the other hand you feel you need more help at that stage you can simply repeat the course.
An extra 7th week is set aside for all course members to attend an introduction session to the Kennel Club Good Citizen BRONZE scheme which you can continue progressing week by week in our Main Class and Advanced Class (if available) building up to SILVER and GOLD Awards amongst many other exciting training improvements.
